Who's Your Mount Rushmore?

There are friends, there are good friends and then there is your Mount Rushmore Friends.

As we know Mount Rushmore is a massive tribute to our country and "the four presidents were chosen to represent the nation's birth, growth, development and preservation, respectively." It took 14 years to complete. Not an overnight project.

In leadership circles we are all encouraged to have our Mount Rushmore of friends as well. So who is yours? Have you been able to find those 3-4 friends who you can vent to, laugh with, cry with and love them like family?

It takes time but when you find your Mount Rushmore you will know it. When you know it you will know it. You will feel it and when you feel it treasure it.

I hope you have or are working on building your Mount Rushmore. Like the massive project in South Dakota it won't happen overnight but it will happen if you stay true to who you are.

Today I encourage you to reach out to those closest to you and tell them thank you. Be vulnerable, be honest and be real. A true leader is not afraid to be who they are.

58 years into this life I am blessed friends, many good friends and I thank God that I have my Mount Rushmore. Thank You Mitch, Scott and Aaron. I am better because of each of you.
