The Valley! A place where you have to descend in order to return to the top of the mountain. It can be a lonely place giving one feelings of hopelessness and fear.
As mentioned yesterday the valley is also a place where much of your character can be formed. Here is the good news today. You don't have to go alone.
You are one of two characters on this journey into the valley.
1) You may be walking into the valley.
If you are walking into the valley alone reach out to someone and ask them to walk with you. Ask someone for help and support. Yes, it's hard to do. It takes humility and courage but I encourage you to be brave and ask for someone to come walk alongside you.
2) Someone else may be walking into the valley.
If you see someone walking into the valley alone ask them if they would like you to walk with them. I believe we sometimes see people in need of someone to walk beside them but we watch them walk away because we don't have the directions through the valley. Don't let not having the directions plugged into your Google maps app keep you from hustling to catch up with the person walking into the valley. They don't care about you having the directions. They may just need a friend to walk with them.
Whether you are walking into the valley or walking alongside someone heading in themselves the encouragement is to not walk alone. We are better and our load is lighter when we walk together with someone else.
Today, either ask for a friend to travel with you or be a friend and walk with someone who needs a companion.
Noone should walk alone.
